Here is a list of some of the other Web Sites related to either The Sopranos or one of the stars on The Sopranos. All opinions which you may read below are my own based on a visit(s) to the site. Some people may take exception to my comments but I'm just expressing my own reaction of the site from a fans standpoint. |
The HBO Official Sopranos Web Site
While this is the only 'official' site I feel that it lacks the friendliness which most viewers should expect. While there is a lot of information available it isn't always easy to find and the number of frames which make up a single Web Page is almost obscene. Frames can be a great navigation tool if used correctly. If used to the extreme, you end up with the opposite effect; ie a Web Site which is not only hard to read and follow, but very difficult on the eyes. The number of Bulletin Boards is impressive and cover a lot of topics. However, some people who use the boards regularly seem to think they 'own' the boards and often answer rudely and shortly to people posting question. All in all it is an okay site but I wish they'd make it easier for people to navigate and not try to 'throw' everything in your face all at once.
This is a fairly new site dedicated to gathering the recipes of all of that great food we see on The Sopranos. If you want to cook and eat like The Sopranos or have a recipe to share then visiting this site is a must.
Can you read Dutch? If you can, then you might want to visit this site. I've navigated through it and it has nice images and descriptions of the core characters and a few other articles. If you read Dutch and visit this site, let me know what you think of it.
Not a bad site but I haven't seen anything new or different here. If you're already familiar with The Sopranos, you won't be spending much time here.
This is a nice little site with a variety of features including biographical info and even a Father Phil's Food Column.
Sopranoland has it's own niche among the sites available and is geared more to the hard-core fan. You won't find episode guides but you will find the entire trascript of the episodes. Even though you will not find this anywhere else I do not see a use for it for the average viewer. There is an impressive collection of audio files, sound bytes and other goodies.
If you're looking for some wav files of sound clips, there is quite a nice collection.
