There are rumors flying everywhere
that Big Pussy really wasn't killed in the last episode. This was always
something which you could speculate since the show was filled with dream
scenes. But look what's happening now...
In an article from the Boston Herald:

Canceled interview says a lot about `Sopranos' finale
by Gayle Fee and Laura Raposa
Tuesday, April 11, 2000
Is Big Pussy really dead? Or was it all a dream? HBO abruptly
pulled the plug
on an interview Vincent Pastore had scheduled with The Track yesterday,
amid
speculation that Sal Bompenserio wasn't really whacked by Tony
Soprano on
Sunday's season finale of the cable channel's Mob hit, ``The Sopranos.''

There have been a few other inconsistancies
which people have brought up. Here are some excerpts:
- And Pastore himself fueled speculation
that the finale wasn't really his character's swan song during a round
of promotional appearances in Boston last week. Pastore insisted that
he had a long-term contract that guaranteed him eight episodes a season.
- Meanwhile, eagle-eyed ``Sopranos''
fans pointed out that Pastore's character suffered a serious injury
in the episode preceding the season finale that put his leg in a cast.
There was no cast on Bompenserio's leg in Sunday's episode. Which
was either a screw-up in continuity or a hint that the whole episode
- including the hit on Puss - was Tony's dream. Because, of course,
Tony didn't know about the injury.
- Also, why would HBO send Pastore
out on promotional appearances last week if he wasn't coming back?
And why did they pull the plug on yesterday's interview? Perhaps they
feared Pastore might break the oath of omerta!
So hold on to your hats... This may
not be the end for the Big Guy.
