The Godfather

Synopsis

The Godfather is Vito Corleone, a benevolent despot who stops at nothing to gain and hold power. He is a friendly man, a "reasonable" man, a just man—and the deadliest gang leader in the Cosa Nostra.

The Godfather's command post is a fortress on Long Island. From it he rules a vast empire of extortion, gambling, bookmaking and unions. He bends cops, bureaucrats, politicians...and he does it without ever touching a gun or knife or even making a threat.
