So, did you guess this would happen?

What a SHOCKER! Never would have I guessed that Janice would be the one to blow Richie away. Talk about the unexpected... THIS was unexpected.

All of this came about during the last 15 minutes of the episode and it took me by such surprise that there were several times where I thought it was going to be some dream that Janice or Richie was having and they would wake up anytime. When I saw her pointing that gun, I thought Holy Jesus.... When I heard the gun go off and saw the bullet hit Richie in the Chest, I thought Holy Shit.... Then when I saw him on the floor in a pool of blood I still couldn't believe it. I was waiting for someone to wake up and realize it was a premonition on someone's part.

Richie's dead and all carved up in the meat grinder. Christopher and Furio got to take care of that little deed. Can you imagine...? I guess you really have to have the stomach for that sort of thing. Some people faint at the sight of blood or while getting a shot at the doctor. Can you imagine hacking someone up and then putting them through a meat grinder?

What the hell happened here anyway?

Did Janice finally snap? This is taking pre-marriage jitters to the extreme! Was the cold-cocked punch Richie gave her the final straw? There was no indication that there was in trouble in paradise. Nothing more than the usual bickering and fighting. Janice was mad at Tony, not Richie. Tony was the one that she saw as the root of their financial problems among others things.

Ok, so I was happy to see Richie get it and the way it happened came as a shock but I also am somewhat let down. I wanted Furio or one of Tony's boys to do it. Tony had just made the decision to do it and had told Silvio "Get it Done" a short time earlier. The ball was in motion. It was a matter of time now. It was a great ending but not as satisfying as it could have been.
