"No Show" -9/22/02 This episode was very family oriented. I was quite surprised that AJ was not more involved in this episode, but the interactions between Tony, Carm and Meadow are tremendous. In this episode we learn why Meadow has been dragging around about registration. She finally admits she does not intend to go back to school for her sophmore year and plans to travel in Europe with her friend misty. A not so well thought out plan to use bonds for some quick cash. The episode shows how ill prepared she is for life in the "real" world. Finally at age 19 she confronts her father about his ties to organized crime. Tony are Carm are left at the end of the episode believing she has run off to Europe. Christopher moves up albeit temporarily to Paulies capo position and learns a few hard knocks. Silvio apparently sets him up on the sly following a heisting incident that was deemed a very poor decision. Christopher seems a likely candidate to be whacked this season. He has many enemys at this point. From season 1 we are lead to believe that Christopher is going to be enlisted as the link between Tony and the "family". This is poor planning by Tony and is likely not going to play out by the end of this season. Christopher also sees a problem with Ade's new friend, but his judgement isn't quite on key. He thinks "she's a dyke"! Ade catches some hand to thigh combat between Christopher and Danielle. She's upset and decides to terminate their blossoming friendship, later to find out she's a fed. Danielle has been taping conversations and because there is no chance of reconsiling the friendship the feds decide the bring her in on Cocaine charges/threats. All they want is information. She vomits all over the table and it hits everyone in the room (quite hysterical despite the situation). How much will she tell? Will it help her and Christopher? Is she smarter than she seems? Previews from next week lead me to believe she's gonna spill da beans and end up in "family" trouble to boot. How long will it take for the guys to figure out she's feeding info to the feds? Janice is getting "chummy" with Ralphie, but will it last? Despite Tony's words of warning she defends his taste in clothing and personality (Since when is Ralphie a hot dresser???). The reality shock comes when she catches some toenail clippings to the face. The disillutioned expression showed in her face when he laughed it off as "shrapnel". Will Ralphie end up in a" hefty bag" like Richie??? |
