"Mergers And Acquisitions"- Aired 11/3/02 What a great episode! I actually had a good chuckle a few times for a change, especially in the closing scene. It looks like Carm and Tony will be playing "who blinks first" for a while on the money matters. Carm found the money stash in the duck feed bags and she's using her skills to invest, and she's being really smart about it. She took a nice chunk of the cash and Tony can't figure out who's holding out. He can't really say anything because he was hiding it from her. What a mess Tony has made now! She's getting her investments in place HER way. On to the rest of the episode....... Paulie finally got his mom into Green Grove, but she's not blending in well. She's got behavior problems (not surprising) and Paulie thinks he can push his weight around to fix it. "Mom isn't wearing her teeth" sometimes. What a hoot! She's not getting along with the women she knows from the old neighborhood. Paulie tries bribing one of the son's he knows from school, and when it doesn't work he sends in his crew to do a little damage. Furio takes off for Italy to see his father who is dying of Cancer. There is a segment of him there talking with a family friend. He discloses that he is in "love" with "the Boss' wife". He is not sure how to handle the situation, but has a need to persue his feelings. I don't think this story line is going to end here. It's been underlying in several episodes this season, and Carm seems to be at least infatuated with him in return. Ralphie's got a new girl, but she's just Tony's type. Makes for a awkward situation, but Tony finds a way around it. He has a day in the country with her, but he came home with her broken fingernail. Carm found it and how she's out for revenge. This could be the turning point with Furio! Tony seeks Janices help (at a cost of 3K)to get to the root of Ralphie's sexual preferences. He also takes some questions to Dr. Melfi. He comes out of the whole thing with an understanding that Ralph has some kind of "problem" because of his mother, but he ends up with Ralph's girl too! It sounds like Ralph is a really twisted dude, although we already knew that from the beginning! Brian (Carm's cousin) is really getting into Tony's good graces quickly and Carm seems a bit suspicious. Music selection for the ending scene was superb! |
