"Eloise" Episode 51 aired 12/01/02

Wow! Who would have thought Furio would just leave? Poll time....Who thinks he's really gone for good? I think he'll be back next season IF Carm survives the finale! It just goes to show that it's impossible to predict anything with this show. That being said I'll go out on a limb and say that both Christopher and Ade will not survive the finale, and either Tony or Carm will produce a life or death cliff hanger.

Did anyone else gasp when Furio grabbed Tony near the chopper blade? It could have been so easy. Pretty funny watching 2 guys take a leak in that kind of wind!

Junior's court case is in closing arguments and one of the jury members gets a visit from a couple of the crew guys. They have a lot of info on the guy, I wonder if he will be intimidated enough to hang the jury, of if he will report the incident. A conviction this season will leave junior out of the picture for the remainder of the show. I'd hate to lose those one liners. He hasn't had too many this season.

Bobby's troubles aren't touched this week. Will he move from denial to anger and become a main player next season?

The focus this week was the ongoing tension between Carm and Furio. She is still helping him with decorating for his mother's apartment. They made a "date" to shop at color tile for the ceramic flooring..... how romantic! It looked as if they would kiss, but it wasn't in the stars tonight. Furio witnesses a disagreement between Tony and Carm, then listens to Tony complain about her mood swings. Later that night they are at a casino, Tony is drunk and they arrange to fly home by helicopter. Brian is puking and requires assistance from the pilot. Tony and Furio are relieving themselves very close to the back blade. Furio sees his chance to kill Tony and lunges for him. It looks like curtains, but at the last minute he pulls back and tell Tony he was too close to the blade. The next morning Furio is a no show for driving Tony to work. Tony is under the weather and Carm is upset that Furio is late. She calls the house and drives past his house but never stops. Later she learns from a realtor friend that Furio has put his house on the market, and Tony gets a call from Silvio that Furio has gone back to Italy. This is all too much for Carm to take. She is obviously disturbed. She confides in Roe, but still cannot control the crying. Tony's attitude in life is much different this week. He is kind and playful with both Meadow and Carm, a side that is rarely seen especially this season. He's cracking jokes at Meadow's apartment, and Carm can barely keep from crying. Meadow invites her for their annual "Mommy and Meadow" white gloves tea party under the portrait of "Eloise". They argue, but it seems it's sparked from Carm's jealousy of Meadow's new love. In a final effort to get to the truth about Furio Carm visits his house and finds that all his belongings are gone........she is devastated.

AJ is clueless in life and scholastic achievement. Meadow asks him if Carm has been acting funny, as in being angry, or sad. AJ thinks she's upset about Furio's father's death. Meadow seems suspicious about the Furio tie in. She has a brief but meaningful conversation with Tony. She finds out that he has been in therapy......... seems I thought she knew that long ago, but aparently not. She also finds out that Carm was actively participating in the therapy. Tony lets on that perhaps Carm feels "unfulfilled". I think Meadow did end up putting 2 and 2 together on that one.

Paulie's mom went to an outing with a couple of old ladies from the grove. They have a minor collision in the parking lot and end up at the hospital. Paulie shows up and it's a free for all. He offers to drive them to a lunch outing. While they are there Paulie finds out the old bitty has a stash of money. He goes to her house to help himself and gets caught. He ended up killing her because she kept screaming. The scene leading up to her suffocation by pillow was really quite funny, despite the old woman's demise. Paulie finds the cash and adds it to his envelope so he can get "caught up" on his kick ups with Tony. Paulie also finds out that Johnny Sac has been leading him on about the NY family and Carmine. This is a possible setup for a Johnny Sac whacking next week.

Tension is still high on the HUD profit shares. Johnny Sac is trying to set up Carmine by playing mind games with Tony. No one's bringing up Ralphie which is amazing considering he was bringing in a lot of big money for both sides. The Esplanade project gets put on hold. A tactic put in place by Carmine in retaliation for the trashing of his new restaurant that has not yet opened. The restaurant got trashed because of NY beating the housing inspector. Where will it end??? Someone's gotta get whacked over this whole deal, Right???

Paulie and Silvio get into a disagreement....... "no one knows what the future will hold". An ominous phrase from someone like Paulie. He did bring up the Russian in the woods. Will that line resurface in the season finale?

So many twists and turns. So many angles. How will this all play out next week and how long will we wait for the next season? FYI....... the finale will be a 75 min episode!

Just a little food for thought......... is it possible that Carm will die, leaving the door open for Tony to develop a new and totally different relationship with Meadow. One that would include her running the operation like the family back in Italy? AJ is not in contention, he's not the brightest crayon in the box.

From the previews it looks like Chris will be out of rehab and Dr. Melfi is still in the picture somehow. I can't wait for next week!!!

Thoughts and predictions please!!!!!
