Episode Synopsis

The episode opens with Tony lying flat on his back on a bed. He gets up and we find he is on a business trip. He leaves a message on his answering machine at home, but the message sounds like small children live there. We see him proceed to a convention center, but during the walk there he is blinded by a bright light in the sky. When he arrives he is required to produce a photo ID. The driver's license has the name Kevin Finnerty. He recognizes this is not his name, and finds the briefcase is not his as well. He realizes he may have switched his personal effects with another man at a bar the night before. He returns there to find a bar tender who remembers someone looking much like him, but he cannot help him. A group of salesmen offer him a seat with them and a meal. In the mean time he is constantly in contact with his wife, who does not sound like Carmella. When he leaves the lounge he is outside with a woman. Again the light appears, and suddenly we realize he is walking the line of life and death. He woke briefly from a coma, pulled out his tubes, spoke a few unintelligible words, was sedated, and put back on life support.

The entire family is there at the hospital. Throught the episode we flip back and forth between reality and his dream state. Tony has had surgery to repair the damage from the shooting, but he had extensive internal injuries to the pancreas and gall bladder. He is now facing serious infection and Carm is given warning that he will not likely survive or will be seriously impaired at best. The entire family is holding an around the clock vigil at the hospital, but AJ can't deal with the situation. Paulie is always good for a chuckle even, at the most inappropriate times. Carm asks him to take AJ home, and he replies.... " VanHelsing, lets go".

Story breaks to the funeral for Eugene. The guys are trying to figure out who is in charge, and who is taking over Eugene's territory.

Chris discusses terrorism with the FBI at Satriales.

AJ finally finds himself alone with Tony and he tells him he is going to even the score with Uncle Junior. At the end of the episode AJ tells Carm he has flunked out of school and been asked not to return. This looks like the turning point for AJ. Will he follow in his father's footsteps now that he is not in school and looking to take down the boss of the family as revenge?

This episode guide is short, because most of the episode was spent in the hospital or in a dream sequence. This was a very gripping episode. You MUST see it.
